Feis Ile is an established annual Folk Music festival based on Islay - this year the local distillers are increasing their activities during the festival to bring together a wonderful mix of 'Malt & Music'

Monday 29th May

Port Ellen Maltings 
Tours leave reception at 2pm - 3.30pm. Admission £5.

Whisky Tasting & Ceilidh, Ramsay Hall
7.30pm. Nosing Competition of uisge-beatha from 7.30- 9.00pm.Showing the wares of all the Islay and Jura distilleries. Entrance includes three free drams. £5

Ceilidh with Accordion and Fiddle Band 10pm, with artistes Bette Bell, Seamus Alex MacDonald, Eion Brown, Norma Munro and pipers Karen Brown & Alison MacTaggart. Ella Edgar Dancers. Chairman Hamish Mactaggart. £4 dance only. Oatcakes and shortbread courtesy of Walkers Aberlour and cheese from Islay Cheese Co.

Tuesday 30th May

Lagavulin Distillery 
Tours leave reception at 2pm & 3.30pm. Lagavulin Reception Centre, ‘Slides from Ann McGilvray’s Archives’. Chairman Iain MacPherson with songs from Libby Morris and Christine Brown. 8pm £4. Hospitality courtesy Lagavulin Distillery. 

Wednesday 31st May

Bowmore Distillery Day
10.30-11.30am. Super Tour of Bowmore Distillery - including a visit into the famous Black Bowmore vaults, followed by a dram of something special. Admission £3

8.00pm The Maggie - a showing of this golden oldie movie starring Paul Douglas is a firm favourite featuring Islay’s characters past and present and the fantastic contribution made by the puffers to the island’s way of life . Rex Hipple, who worked for Ealing Studios in the making of the film will share his reminiscences of film crews, cast and extras. Admission £4. Limited number.

10.30pm by a Taste of Bowmore & Islay Oysters. A tasting of some of Bowmore’s finest malts along with superb Islay Oysters. Film and Tasting admission £5

Laphroaig Distillery.
At 11am, Super Tour by the manager

Friday 2nd June

Caol Ila Distillery
Tours leave reception at 2pm & 3.30pm.

Bunnahabhain Distillery
Open for tours 2pm-5pm. 

Saturday 3rd June

Ardbeg Distillery.
Open all day. Famous Whisky Lunch menu incorporating local Carnival with Decorated Float Parade 6.30pm, on the theme ‘Millennium Bug’. Were you bugged??  Festival Queen - Islay Pipe Band Entertainment from - ‘Crooked Jack’ childrens entertainers, ‘Bootlegger’, stalls, bouncy castle, car boot. Floats assemble at pier at 6pm
